5K Run

Registration for both events is online only at RunSignUp.com and closes at Midnight the Thursday before the race. No registrations are accepted after that date.

Starts at 9:00

The 5K starts at the Environmental Charter School at the corner of Henrietta and Milton. Most of the first mile of the 5K winds through Regent Square streets with plenty of warm, friendly cheers. Please follow course signage and STAY ON THE SIDEWALK when crossing the Fern Hollow Bridge because we will not be closing a traffic lane for the race.  The remainder of the race is through Frick Park’s cross-country trails, ending in Fern Hollow.  USATF sanctioned event policy does not allow for animals to participate in competitions. The 5K is a USATF sanctioned event; therefore, dogs are PROHIBITED in the 5K.

1.5 Mile Run/Walk

Registration for both events is online only at RunSignUp.com and closes at Midnight the Thursday before the race. No registrations are accepted after that date.

Starts at 8:15

The 1.5 mile Run/Walk takes place on the charming streets of Regent Square. The family dog can also join in on the fun. Dogs may ONLY participate in the 1.5 Mile Run/Walk. The dog must be leashed and a dog owner/handler must be registered with every dog, no exceptions. The Run/Walk starts at 8:15 a.m. at the Environmental Charter School on the corner of Henrietta and Milton. Please see the map for an outlined route.

PLEASE NOTE. Only participants 13 years of age and under are eligible for awards in the 1.5 Mile event. In order to qualify for an award, participants are required by USATF rules to complete the course on their own without assistance. Toddlers in strollers or those who are otherwise carried or assisted by an adult ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for awards.

PLEASE NOTE: If you intend to have a beer in the hollow at the end of the race, please be sure to bring your photo ID with you.  Our insurance requires that we card anyone who appears to be under 30 years old.

IMPORTANT. We are a family-friendly event and there will be many children under the age of 12 participating. Please be respectful and considerate and do your part.

There is plenty of street parking throughout Regent Square, but do remember that after 5 a.m. on race day no parking is permitted on the streets used for the course. In addition, no parking is permitted in the Fern Hollow section of Frick Park. The best option is to use the streets on the East side of S. Braddock Avenue. For a complete map of the Regent Square neighborhood, please go to regentsquare-rsca.org

Awards ceremony begins at approximately 10 am. Awards for the 1.5 event are given first followed by the 5K.after-race-3
